Lunch Buddy coordinator retires

Bagley Downs -- Twelve years ago Barbara Nordstrom found a way to help children who needed a little extra support at school. She started a Lunch Buddy program at Walnut Grove Elementary. She worked with Vancouver and Greater Clark County Rotary clubs to expand the Lunch Buddy program in Vancouver Public Schools. For the last six years, Nordstrom has been at the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools, coordinating the program districtwide at 19 schools. Nordstrom, who is retiring April 19, is thankful for all the volunteers who go to school once a week to brighten the life of a child.
