PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh point guard Tray Woodall and forward J.J. Moore will both undergo surgery Friday,

Coach Jamie Dixon says Woodall will have surgery to repair a sports hernia initially sustained during a win over Duquesne last November. The junior missed 11 of Pitt’s next 12 games but still led the Panthers with 171 assists while averaging 11.7 points.

Moore will have surgery to repair the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. He averaged 6.1 points and 2.3 rebounds but came on during the last month of the season, averaging 11.8 points over Pitt’s final 13 games as the Panthers won the College Basketball Invitational.

Both players are expected to miss three months, though Dixon expects both to be fully recovered in time for the 2012-13 season.
