PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) — A Holland America cruise ship delivered more than 2,000 shoppers to Port Angeles this week. It was the first cruise ship to visit the port city since 2010.
The Peninsula Daily News (http://is.gd/FyG3wk ) says local merchants say they benefited from the 11-hour visit but sales were not as good as some previous cruise ship visits.
On May 11, another Holland America ship will dock in Port Angeles on its way from Seattle to Hawaii.
A third ship may visit in the fall.
