KEIZER, Ore. (AP) — Keizer, Ore., police say a vehicle crashed into a fire hydrant Friday, causing hundreds of gallons of water per minute to spew into the street.

KVAL reports (http://is.gd/IkIJpp ) that police think the 57-year-old driver crashed because of a medical condition.

Traffic on River Road was shut down for an hour while crews worked to clear the water and accompanying mud.

Keizer is north of Salem.
