SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Everett Golson passed for two touchdowns, George Atkinson III ran for 124 yards, and Notre Dame’s offense committed six turnovers in the Blue-Gold Game on Saturday.

Golson was the only one of the four quarterbacks vying for the starting job not to throw an interception. Tommy Rees, last year’s starting quarterback, threw three interceptions.

Andrew Hendrix and freshman Gunner Kiel also saw action at quarterback for the Irish, who were hampered by turnovers last season.

Golson was 11 of 15 for 120 yards and also ran for 25 yards.

Coach Brian Kelly rotated Rees, Hendrix, and Golson on alternating possessions in the first half and then allowed Kiel to run all the plays in the 16-minute running clock second half.
