NORTH BEND, Wash. (AP) — Two women are dead after a fire ripped through a home in east King County Sunday morning
Eastside Fire and Rescue Chief Lee Soptich says firefighters pulled the women from the home but attempts to resuscitate them failed. He says one woman was in her 20s, while the other was about 30.
After getting the two victims out, fire crews were unable to return into the home because of dangerous conditions. Soptich says it’s unclear yet whether others were in the house.
The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
A neighbor reported the fire at the home, located in a rural area east of North Bend.
