NORTH BEND, Wash. (AP) -- Authorities say two women have been killed in a suspicious house fire Sunday morning near North Bend in east King County.
King County Sheriff's Sgt. Cindi West told KOMO-TV (http://bit.ly/I4mZCh ) that investigators found gas cans inside the home with gasoline still in them. She says a couch had been used to barricade the door.
West says the gutted home is being treated as a homicide scene, and a bomb disposal robot is being used to clear the residence.
Eastside Fire and Rescue Chief Lee Soptich says firefighters pulled the two women from the home but attempts to resuscitate them failed. He says one woman was in her 20s, while the other was about 30.
