Fire ruins old Volkswagen

A Volkswagen, thought to be a 1977, caught fire in Washougal and was totaled Sunday afternoon, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The fire at 4:32 p.m. was in the westbound lanes of state Highway 14 just west of 45th Street, said Trooper Scott Barlow.
He said the accident blocked the highway for a short time.
Barlow believed two people escaped unharmed but did not have more specifics.
