EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Police in Everett, Wash., say a man found dead behind a residential garage appears to have suffered trauma and the case is being treated as a homicide.

Lt. Robert Goetz said police sought a search warrant Tuesday night to enter the property and conduct an investigation.

A resident called 911 to report seeing the body. Goetz says the man appears to have been in his late 20s or early 30s.

The police spokesman says the house apparently is unoccupied and owned by a bank.
