TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A Tacoma woman received a phone call earlier this month that her 20-year-old son had suffered a seizure at school. She rushed to the Tacoma General Hospital emergency room only to discover the young man on the gurney was not her son.

A nurse figured out that an instructor at Northwest Career and Technical High School had grabbed the wrong contact information when a 16-year-old student suffered a seizure. He’s dealing with a head injury suffered three years ago when he was hit by a car.

The News Tribune reports (http://is.gd/yGvjnS) his mother is upset that the confusion resulted in a 90-minute delay before she was called. She has a lawyer looking into the matter.

The principal has written her a letter of apology.
