PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A Jack Russell terrier that hopped aboard an early morning Portland-area transit bus and went for a ride has been reunited with her owner.
TriMet officials say the dog named Bailey was corralled by a passenger on the No. 12 bus as it traveled Tuesday morning through the west Portland suburb of Tigard (TY-gard). The dog was later turned over to Multnomah County Animal Services, which featured her prominently on its website.
The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/SPGpZN ) that Bailey’s owner, Adam Baker of Tigard, claimed her on Wednesday.
He says the 6-year-old dog wasn’t wearing her collar because she had a run-in with a skunk and it was removed for a bath.
