SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Less than a year after he was hired, Forrest Rodgers had been fired as executive director of the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in Spokane.
Rodgers confirmed that the executive committee of the museum’s board terminated him on Tuesday.
Rodgers told The Spokesman-Review he wasn’t fired for cause and was told that the board was looking for a new direction for the financially troubled museum.
Rodgers was hired last summer and started his new job Aug. 1. He is the former president of the High Desert Museum in Bend, Ore., and former executive director of the Central Washington University Foundation.
