Fans hit Capitol for uncertain Viking stadium vote

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Fans decked out in purple and gold are roaming Minnesota's Capitol in hopes that the House debates and votes on the $1 billion Vikings stadium bill.

It's not clear if the long-awaited vote will happen Saturday. GOP Rep. John Kriesel, a bill co-sponsor, says he doesn't think so. House Speaker Kurt Zellers and other GOP leaders have not been available for comment.

The House's minority leader, Rep. Paul Thissen, says at least 34 Democrats are to vote yes -- half of what's needed for House passage. Zellers previously said that was necessary.

Thissen and Gov. Mark Dayton say they want the vote Saturday so the Senate can vote on the bill Sunday or Monday. That's the day Republican leaders hope to adjourn the session for the year.
