Letter: Comparisons relieve confusion

The Columbian

Cows don’t get mad; they get confused. Ask any dairy farmer. My grandfather’s favorite saying, or so it seemed to me because I heard it a lot, was “Don’t just stand there like a cow looking at a new gate.” Since a lot of people probably don’t know what that looks like, maybe we could update the simile. How about “like the Columbia River Crossing commission looking at the river”?
