FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The defending AFC-champion New England Patriots selected defensive back Nate Ebner of Ohio State in the sixth round of the NFL draft on Saturday.
The Patriots used the No. 163 overall pick, acquired in a trade with the Green Bay Packers on Friday, to take Ebner, who is 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds.
The Patriots, who have added to their defense in bulk in the wake of their Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants, also acquired two seventh round picks, Nos. 224 and 235, in the deal with the Packers.
