LACEY, Wash. (AP) -- The Thurston County Coroner says a 24-year-old man fatally shot outside his home in Lacey over the weekend died of gunshot wounds to the head, neck and chest.
Gary Warnock identified the victim Monday as James Kirk. His death was ruled a homicide.
A broken baseball bat in the street indicates he may have been involved in a fight.
Lt. Phil Comstock told The Olympian (http://is.gd/XPscrc ) investigators don't believe the Saturday shooting was random, but they haven't released a motive or suspect.
The wounded man staggered to the front door of his home where he was found by family members. He was taken to an Olympia hospital where he was pronounced dead.
