Chivas USA acquires Joseph from Revs

CARSON, Calif. (AP) — Chivas USA acquired midfielder Shalrie Joseph from the New England Revolution on Wednesday for midfielder Blair Gavin, a second-round 2013 SuperDraft pick and undisclosed allocation money.

The 34-year-old Joseph, a former college star at St. John’s in New York, has a goal and three assists in 18 games this season. He had 37 goals and 34 assists in nine seasons with New England.

Gavin had an assist in nine games for Chivas USA this year. He helped Akron win the 2009 NCAA championship.
