INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis Colts have filled one open roster spot by signing free agent offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe.

The 6-foot-8, 325-pound lineman spent the last three seasons in the Arena Football League — one each with San Antonio, Philadelphia and Dallas.

He replaces Ben Ijalana, the Colts’ second-round pick in 2011. Indy placed Ijalana on the waived-injured list Wednesday, the day after coach Chuck Pagano said Ijalana would miss the season with an ACL injury. That means Ijalana will go on Indy’s reserve list if he is not claimed.

The Colts also have announced backup linebacker A.J. Edds will miss the season because of an ACL injury in his left knee. Edds and Ijalana were both injured Sunday during Indy’s first open practice. But the Colts have not filled Edds’ spot.
