Letter: Extend tax cut for the 98 percent

For most people making less than $250,000 a year, we could use a tax cut. But the Republicans in Congress want to include the top 2 percent, the wealthiest people, who really don't need a tax cut, and many of them say they don't want one.
In these hard times, it's important for everyone to keep the safety net intact, especially for people with kids, such as single moms. Our kids need health care coverage.
