Letter: West for utilities commissioner

I support Jim West for Clark County Utilities District 1 commissioner. West is my choice based on his work in the community over 25 years and his understanding of business and the issues that face the utility in the future. One of the major challenges ahead will be to make decisions that keep rates low, and at the same time conserve on the existing resources.
West has a plan for moving ahead that centers around conservation and working on more programs that encourage users to conserve energy, and also to look at ways to become more efficient with utility operations.
