LONDON (AP) — Yang Hak-seon has an Olympic gold medal to go with his world title on vault.

The South Korean finished with an average of 16.533, winning it on the strength of the most difficult vault being done in the world today. When he landed his second vault perfectly, his coaches raced to the podium and grabbed him in a bear hug. Yang grabbed a South Korean flag even before his final score was posted, waving it when it finally appeared.

Denis Ablyazin of Russia won the silver, adding to the bronze he won on floor exercise Sunday. Igor Radivilov of Ukraine won the bronze medal.

American Sam Mikulak was fifth.
