The price of gasoline in Vancouver rose by a nickel this week, part of an uptick across the Northwest and throughout the Portland metropolitan area.
The cost of a gallon of regular unleaded in Vancouver stood at $3.66, AAA Oregon/Idaho reported in its weekly survey. The statewide average was $3.70 in Washington, up three cents and the 16th highest in the nation. Oregon’s $3.68 price is up four cents for the week.
Nationally, the average for regular unleaded was up 13 cents in a week to $3.63, marking a near-convergence of prices in the Northwest and the nation as a whole after a long period in which local prices far exceeded the national average.
