Airport Green — Hearthwood Elementary School recently installed a camera security system, and the results have been immediate: one arrest for arson already. Most of the cost was borne by the school's parent teacher association. The Airport Green Neighborhood Association is raising funds to help retire the balance of the nearly $10,000 bill. The neighborhood association will match donations made by neighbors up to a total of $1,000. So far, $250 has been donated. No donation is too small, the latest neighborhood newsletter says, because each donation is doubled by the match. Contact Airport Green Treasurer Tom Smith at 360-281-5111 or President Ross Montgomery at 360-281-9948 for more information.
