Sifton — Four teenage air cadets, plus their escorts, from the Netherlands and the United Kingdom visited the Vancouver Composite Squadron's Civil Air Patrol on July 28 as part of an international exchange. The cadets are Mike Sandink and Sander Lubbers of The Netherlands, and Simon Collins and James Syluanus Higston-Williams of the United Kingdom, along with escort Jeremy Scheiber, a 2nd lieutenant with the Dutch Royal Air Force. In pursuit of the air cadet exchange's goals of international understanding and friendship, they dined together and exchanged gifts. Before visiting Vancouver, the European group visited Washington, D.C., Seattle, Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the Evergreen Air and Space Museum in McMinnville, Ore. The Composite Squadron meets Mondays at the Armed Forces Center, 15005 N.E. 65th Ave.
