KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (AP) — Carl Pettersson puts his one-stroke lead on the line in the second round of the PGA Championship on Friday.

Players are back on the course on a windy morning at Kiawah Island after mostly calm conditions for the opening round. It began raining hard in the area not long after play concluded Thursday.

Pettersson shot a 6-under 66. Rory McIlroy is part of a group of four players at 5 under. Tiger Woods is three strokes behind the leader.

Those three will all play in the afternoon Friday after taking advantage of good scoring conditions on the first day.

The past 16 majors have been won by 16 different players. Woods hasn’t won one since 2008.
