ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Coach Tom Coughlin says there is no doubt the New York Giants have plenty of work to do if they want to make another run at the Super Bowl crown.

In a conference call Sunday with reporters a little less than 24 hours after a 32-31 preseason loss to Jacksonville, Coughlin said he was upset losing a game in which New York blew leads of 17 and 10 points.

Most troubling for the 65-year-old who has led the Giants to two titles in the last five seasons was seeing his team muff two punts and hand the Jaguars 10 points.

Coughlin was disappointed with his team’s 11 penalties, but he also said the Giants gave a good effort in their first game since beating New England for the title in February.
