Kelso man dies when dump truck crashes near Camas

A 70-year-old Kelso man died Wednesday when his dump truck went off Northeast 262nd Avenue and crashed, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred about 3:45 p.m., near Bradford Road north of Camas, when the truck loaded with gravel failed to negotiate a corner at Bradford Road, a CCSO bulletin said.

The driver, Jerrold Hughart, was killed on impact.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office and East County Fire & Rescue responded to the crash. The incident is being investigated by The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Team.
