DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Rockies have recalled right-hander Guillermo Moscoso from Triple A Colorado Springs. Moscoso will start Wednesday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
To make room for Moscoso the Rockies designated right-hander Mike Ekstrom for assignment.
This is Moscoso’s third stint with the Rockies in 2012. He was recalled April 28 and made his first career start for Colorado against the New York Mets.
He is 0-1 with an 8.23 ERA in 10 games, two of them starts. This will be Moscoso’s first start since May 4 against Atlanta.
Ekstrom has a 6.32 ERA in 15 relief appearances for Colorado this season.
