Letter Voice your opinion in Woodland

I attended a special budget meeting of the Woodland City Council on Aug. 13 where they discussed the proposed 6.5 percent utility tax to fund a part-time firefighter. After more than two hours of discussion, they agreed to put the tax to a final vote at the next council meeting, without further public hearing. If you live in Woodland, please come to the council meeting on Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room of City Hall. Let the council know how you feel about having your taxes raised.
