Update: Single vehicle fatality crash reported north of Camas

Victim is not yet being identified

Police have identified the man killed Wednesday in a single vehicle accident north of Camas.

Jerrold Hughart, 70, of Kelso, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at Northeast 262nd Avenue and Bradford Road.

At approximately 3:45 p.m., deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office along with fire and medical units from East County Fire and Rescue responded to the fatality motor vehicle accident at Northeast 262nd Avenue and Bradford road. A full-size dump truck loaded with gravel, driven by Hughart, was traveling southbound on Northeast 262nd and failed to negotiate the corner at Bradford Road.

Hughart was reportedly killed on impact.

The incident is being investigated by The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Team.
