A local woman has started a peer-led support group for people with fibromyalgia and other chronic pain.

Bree Cassidy was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2007 and struggled to find support. So she started her own peer-led support group, Vancouver Healing Paths.

The group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second Friday and fourth Wednesday of the month at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center’s Health Education Building, 400 N.E. Mother Joseph Place.

The group is open to any adult who is living with chronic pain in the Clark County area and their families. Membership is $20 a year, which includes all household members and is used to offset expenses for mailings and advertising.

For more information, call 360-635-8345, email info@vancouverhealingpaths.org or visit http://www.vancouverhealingpaths.org.
