Letter: Absence of voters puzzling

The Columbian
Published: August 20, 2012, 5:00pm

I am writing with extreme disappointment in the people of Clark County. “Pathetic” is the word.

I’m referring to the low voter turnout from our county. The lowest in the state — how embarrassing.

The people of Clark County used to care about each other, helped each other and respected our laws. Most important, they cared enough to vote to elect the best, most qualified people to make major decisions for us.

What happened?

How many of you people who live here and reap the benefits of our county can say that you care? Obliviously, not too many based on the voter turnout.

If you don’t care enough to vote, don’t complain.

Please care enough to vote in November.
