Two people were sent to the hospital Monday after a three-car, head-on crash at East Fourth Plain Boulevard and Brandt Road in central Vancouver.
The crash was reported around 2:20 p.m. Vancouver police, the Vancouver Fire Department and American Medical Response responded.
Firefighter-paramedic Kevin Stromberg said two vans hit head-on and a third vehicle was also involved.
A man was extricated from one van and an “elderly woman” was extricated from the other, Stromberg said. Both were sent to local hospitals with neck and back pain.
A person in the third vehicle refused transport.
Eastbound lanes at the intersection were blocked after the crash.
Names were not released because of medical privacy laws.
