Letter: Lawsuits manipulate registration

The Columbian
Published: August 20, 2012, 5:00pm

I am ashamed of elected officials who try to rig elections through voter registration lawsuits. Massachusetts Democrats have sued their state resulting in an agreement that taxpayers will spend $276,000 to mail out voter registration forms to welfare recipients. In Ohio, Democrats are suing the state for extending early voting from Friday to Monday for military personnel deployed overseas. They don’t want the military to have the extra days to vote. I cannot understand how welfare recipients should be pushed to vote en masse while we create more hurdles for military personnel to vote. There’s an obvious agenda here that sickens me.
