Letter: Rebels kill innocent people in Syria

Western nations are supporting mass murder in Syria, under the guise of supporting a popular uprising.

Western nations supported Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Iran in the 1980s, which exterminated a million innocent people in broad daylight. The only nations in the world that took a stand against Saddam in the 1980s were Syria and Iran.

The same ethically bankrupt nations that supported Saddam are supporting the Syrian rebels today. The Syrian rebels are portrayed as good guys in Western nations, just as Saddam was in the 1980s.

The reality is that the rebels are militant Sunnis and are considering joining forces with al-Qaida members, the same people that the U.S. fought against in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Liberal leftists supported Saddam in the 1980s, and opposed the U.S. war against him in 2003. When a nation develops a liberal culture that supports abortion and the gay lifestyle, people develop such low character that they can no longer distinguish right from wrong.

Current U.S. leaders are a case in point. Just as it does not bother them to support the killing of innocent people through abortion, it does not bother them to support the killing of innocent people overseas.
