Patriots release OL Kyle Hix

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- The New England Patriots have released offensive lineman Kyle Hix.
The move was announced Monday shortly before the Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles met in the second preseason game for each.
Hix, signed as a rookie free agent out of Texas on July 27, 2011, spent all last season on injured reserve after hurting his shoulder during the preseason.
