Share’s board of directors voted unanimously to move forward with the final phase of construction of the Share Fromhold Service Center.

Construction at the center, 2306 N.E. Andresen Road, will begin this month.

Share has raised $5.25 million toward its goal of $5.4 million. Share announced it will leverage the remaining $150,000 as it launches the final phase of its capital campaign.

Contributions to Share’s capital campaign can be made online at http://sharevancouver.org. People can also purchase a personalized brick for the service center. Bricks start at $200. Larger bricks are $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000.

In November 2011, Share completed the second phase of the capital campaign, with a portion of the service center constructed. The final phase of construction will build a day shelter for the Winter Hospitality Overflow guests, transitional housing staff offices, a volunteer center, classrooms, Share Outreach program and offices for administration.

The Share Fromhold Service Center honors former state Rep. Bill Fromhold, who died in September 2011.
