It seems that every morning when I am reading the Columbian and get to the Opinion pages, the political cartoon nearly every day is a denigrating slap at Mitt Romney, and more recently, Paul Ryan. There are very few of the political cartoons that are in any way opposing, in any way, Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Those of us who get The Columbian know that it is predominantly pro-Obama and, by extension, liberal in its editorial reporting.
I could be naive in this, but I have always believed that newspapers should be fair and balanced, especially when politics are involved. It seems that today's mainstream media, newspapers as well as the alphabet television news outlets, are generally firmly ensconced in the liberal camp. It also seems that fair and balanced reporting by the media is a relic of the past.
