SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle authorities say they have ended their active search for the 7-foot python lost in a Seattle park.
The Seattle Times reports the python is still missing but Seattle Animal Control has other priorities, like biting dogs.
Seattle Police spokeswoman Renee Witt says if someone sees the snake, they'll go out and follow up on that report.
The snake was reported missing last week by a homeless man who says he kept it as a pet.
Reticulated pythons, which are native to Southeast Asia, are not venomous, but they do hunt and kill small mammals and birds.
