Image — Monique Colver’s memoir “An Uncommon Friendship” is earning serious attention.

When the ForbesWoman column at Forbes Magazine reviewed popular memoirs by famous names such as Carole King and Anna Quindlen, Colver’s book got noticed, too: “When Colver’s husband became mentally ill, hallucinations, mood swings and philandering brought their marriage to a screeching halt. But the strength of their friendship kept Culver by his side — as an unlikely friend and ally. The memoir of her experience is a look inside a relationship, at the devastation of mental illness and the ties that bind.”

Colver lives in the Image neighborhood.
