Letter: Fair prices too high

I find it very amusing that it was stated fair attendance was down 13 percent this year due to the heat. Are they serious? Why isn't the committee being truthful? The attendance was down due to the prices. The $10 per person admission is unbelievable. Then there is the parking fee.
I would think in this economy the prices would have been reduced. More people would have attended if the fees were less, and the amount of money being made would have balanced out. Don't blame the weather for stupidity.
