Let’s go Cheyenne wins Del Mar feature in runaway

DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Let’s Go Cheyenne romped to 5 3/4-length victory Friday in the $88,500 CTT and Thoroughbred Owners of California Handicap for fillies and mares at Del Mar.

Ridden by Joe Talamo, Let’s Go Cheyenne led by 12 lengths early going and maintained at least an eight-length advantage for most of the race, covering 1 3/8 miles on the turf course in 2:13.50.

Let’s Go Cheyenne paid $8.80, $4.80 and $3.60. Left a Message returned $3.80 and $3.40, and Thisismystage paid $3.60 to show.

A 4-year-old daughter of Tiznow trained by Vladimir Cerin for Southern Comfort Stable, Lady of Cheyenne earned $53,100 for the win, her third in nine races. She has earned $160,910.
