LONDON (AP) — Mo Farah and his wife are the parents of twin girls, two weeks after he won a second gold medal in the 5,000 meters at the London Olympics.
The 29-year-old Farah, who also won gold in the 10,000, expressed his delight Saturday on Twitter, saying “great news about the birth of my little baby girls! Twins…! Thanks to my wife..!! Shabba!!”
British media reports say Farah still plans to compete in the Diamond League meet on Sunday in Birmingham, England.
He will attempt to break Steve Ovett’s 34-year record of running two miles in 8 minutes, 13.51 seconds.
