Glenwood — A big open house is set for Sept. 6, but Congregation Kol Ami took an important step — many important steps — toward its new synagogue Aug. 19. Approximately 100 members of Clark County's reform Jewish group walked from their old home — a network of rented offices — in Salmon Creek to the new one at 7800 N.E. 119th St. They carried their Torah for nearly 5 miles in a ceremonial Torah Walk. The new building cost $9 million and sits on 8 acres alongside the Glenwood Community Church. Visit http://jewishvancouverusa.org to learn more.
