Letter: Bigfoot’s family thriving

The Columbian
Published: August 28, 2012, 5:00pm

The Aug. 26 Columbian story, “Bigfoot: Big draw for small town,” about the township of North Bonne-ville and the Sasquatch family of wood carvings that moved into the park, inspired us to take a drive and check it out.

The family is living in the trees and on the grounds of the park.

We all know that Sasquatch is a threatened species and to have a city like North Bonneville take in the family of 15 residents is amazing. We visited the family that Sunday and were amazed. The walk through the park among the Sasquatch family with the adults overseeing the kids climbing the trees and playing was very enjoyable.

Well done, North Bonneville. We hope the family thrives and will continue to grow.
