School resumed in four local public school districts this morning.

Bells rang in Woodland, La Center, Ridgefield, Hockinson and Green Mountain.

Camas and Washougal go back to school Tuesday, the day after Labor Day.

The county's three biggest districts — Evergreen, Vancouver and Battle Ground — start next Wednesday. The districts generally start late, reflecting the fact that local weather is more summer-like in September than in June.

Also on tap today: Release of the 2011 standardized test scores for all Clark County public schools. The HSPE tests replaced the long-reviled WASL. A full report on those will be available later today on and a grid featuring all Clark County schools will be published in the Thursday paper.
