A local nonprofit and the mayors from Camas and Washougal will host the second screening of the HBO documentary “Weight of the Nation” and a discussion of the film.

Organizers of the “Camas and Washougal on a Diet” yearlong weight-loss challenge are hosting the viewing. The event will feature one segment of the four-part documentary on obesity in America.

The film will be shown as the city’s “Movie in the Park” at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 in Crown Park, 120 N.E. 17th Ave. Before the film, from 6 to 7 p.m., Kaiser Permanente doctors and registered nurses will host a “Know Your Numbers” clinic, offering information about body mass index, risks for diabetes and blood pressure levels.

The event will feature “Consequences,” the first segment of the documentary. After the film, community members can participate in a discussion with local health and obesity experts.
