I agree with Bret Hooper's Aug. 20 letter, "Slow down; let Earth recover," 100 percent, but he did not go far enough.
When it was discovered that smoking was killing humans, we did something about. We sued tobacco companies, and we won.
What is making this world sick are the petroleum companies. We need to sue the petroleum companies.
