ADVENT CONFERENCES begin Sunday at St. James Catholic Church, 218 W. 12th St., with the Rev. Wade Menezes giving a parish mission, “Reality Check — The Four Last Things: Death, Judgment, Heaven, Hell.” Following Mass at 12:10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, there will be a 45-minute advent conference. At 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, an evening edition of the advent conference will be presented. Mass begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, with an extended homily. The Rev.
