Letter: Interview isn’t informative

The Columbian
Published: December 2, 2012, 4:00pm

I was disappointed with Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler’s interview, “Sights set on second term,” in the Nov. 26 issue of The Columbian. Our country is facing difficult times and challenges.

In the interview, Herrera Beutler says nothing and commits herself to little. She speaks in platitudes and generalities. We need leadership and Herrera Beutler missed a great opportunity to inform and educate. I was disappointed that The Columbian failed to hold her accountable by asking incisive follow-up questions.
